Year 10 Science l 4 things I have learned

Here are the 4 things I have learned over the past 4 weeks

1. I've learned that no matter how many offsprings you've had that are of the same gender, there's still just a 50% chance of it being a boy or a girl, the percentage doesn't get any lower.

2. I've learned that a creature's ancestors may have had something that it doesn't have in the modern day, for example, A dog's ancestor may have had wings (not true) but its modern-day self doesn't have wings anymore.

3. I've learned that the dominant alleles are the ones with the capital alleles (XX) or capital and a lowercase (Xx), the non-dominant has both lowercase alleles (xx).

4. I've learned that mutations exist, but not the stuff you see on TV shows and movies, it's more like a change in the genes and alleles (by the way, don't take my word for it because I'm not 100% sure but please correct me if I'm wrong).

Year 10 English l Zootopia Essay🍭🍭

Introduction:

A character who changed in Zootopia is Nick, Nick changed from being a shifty and untrustworthy Fox to a good and helpful guy also becoming a cop in the process.
Nick changed because he was basically forced into helping Judy with the case of the missing mammals and so they went around as Nick gave her more information while trying to stall the case but as they helped each other, Nick opened up to Judy saying people didn't accept him as a scout just because he was a Fox, so after that moment, they became closer and they even trusted each other at that point.
As the day went on, they went on to work as a team and by the end of the movie, they work together to go after criminals like Flash the sloth.

Year 10 Health l Introducing this unit

In Health, we are learning about well-being (Spiritual), spiritual well-being as basically how you feel spiritually and what I have learned so far about that is who you are who you want to be, whether you want to be a nice person or helpful or funny even, but basically it's about who you are.

The 2 values that are most important to me are compassion and family, these are important to me because I like being kind to people and I love my family, compassion: I really lived this value when I talked one of my best friends out of suicide, if the value of compassion was not respected by others, I would not like that because imagine a world without compassion, that would be terrible.

Year 10 Social Studies l My child soldier presentation

So uh here's my presentation...enjoy:
Child soldier presentation

As you may have seen, my research is about child soldiers/Hitler youth and I was writing about what kinds of things were happening with the child soldiers and how they would escape.
Something new I have learned was the child soldiers had to kill their own parents which would be a scarring experience and a terrible thing to be made happen, also they got injected with heroin to get them addicted and this was happening to children as young as 5!

Today, I had a hard think about what to include in this job application for Jacksepticeye and something that made me keep on going was that Jacksepticeye is my favourite youtuber at this time and it would be interesting to write about him. What I learned from this was that when I learn about something I'm interested in, I actually am interested in doing it for work, a mistake I made was doing this blog wrong the first time and having to redo it taught me to not take instructions too literally. I tried hard at completing my DTE work and a strategy I am going to try now is to be creative in my work and do what I'm interested in. I will challenge myself, well I'm already challenging myself doing this very long reflection and I will improve my work by putting in a little bit more detail. I will improve my talent by challenging myself in what I do and I will solve this problem by doing what I said previously and to challenge myself.

Year 10 P.E l Something/s I have improved on...

I think I have improved on high jump mainly because I have actually attempted it where previously I have not attempted it and I just stayed back and watched, when I participated in high jump for the first time this year, most people started clapping and it was pretty embarrassing to be honest but also I felt that I achieved something because I haven't actually participated in high jump for about a couple year before that
